Effective leadership in residential childcare requires a balance between hands on care and operational management. Children need a visible, supportive deputy manager who can maintain structure while building genuine trust.
Central and Southern Homes is hiring a Blended Deputy Manager for our 40 hour contracted role in Crediton. You will split your time between on shift care leadership and dedicated admin hours, handling rota management, staff supervisions, and deputising for the Registered Manager.
This position is ideal for experienced Senior Support Workers, Team Leaders, Deputy Managers, or Residential Managers seeking a well rounded leadership post.
How you will make a difference

Operational Guidance: Manage rotas, conduct staff supervisions, and oversee medication administration.

Mentorship & Onboarding: Induct new staff members, deliver on shift mentoring, and complete performance reviews.

Quality Assurance: Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and placement plans.
What you will bring

Relevant Experience: Significant experience in children's residential care with supervisory background.

Leadership Qualifications: QCF Level 3 achieved, with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management achieved or in progress.

Flexible Mindset: Willingness to work a 1 in 3 weekend pattern, cover sleep ins when required, and hold a clean UK driving licence.
