We are recruiting experienced, dedicated tutors to provide high-quality, flexible, and tailored tuition across the area. If you are passionate about boosting student confidence and academic success following the UK National Curriculum, we want to hear from you.
Your Benefits
- Hourly pay - £28-33 per hour
- Flexible Working Hours to suit your lifestyle - 30 hours per week / 9am - 4pm (Mon - Fri)
- Variety of Settings: Work in schools, students' homes, or public spaces (e.g., libraries).
The Role in Detail
- Subjects: Deliver sessions in Maths, English, and/or Science (plus potential other subjects).
- Students: Work with students across all Key Stages, from Year 1 (KS1) to Post-16.
- Curriculum: Must follow the current UK National Curriculum.
- Focus: Provide individualised support focusing on core academic subjects, social development, and building self-esteem.
- SEN Inclusion: Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students is required; you must adjust approaches for inclusivity.
- Hours: Flexible sessions ranging from 1 hour up to 15 hours per week. Each child is 15 hours per week and the tutor can tutor 2 children a week (so max of 30 hours per week).
- Commitment: Opportunity for long-term, meaningful relationships with students.
Key Requirements
- Proven Tutoring Experience: QTS (Qualified teacher status) especially in Maths, English, and/or Science.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Strong grasp of the UK National Curriculum.
- SEN Experience: Demonstrated ability to support SEN students.
- DBS: Must hold a DBS check on the Update Service, or be willing to apply immediately.
- Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
