Production Team Members are required to support ongoing operations on site and are responsible for their own safety and the safe operation of their area. In this capacity, you will report to the Team Leader and be responsible for supporting all aspects of the operations to ensure shift team objectives and ultimately customer excellence is achieved. Within the role, you will ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with local and works IMS procedures to provide a safe working environment.
Location: Hartlepool Works, Brenda Rd, Hartlepool TS25 2EG
Salary: £30,902.30 per annum (Includes a 10% shift allowance)
Contract Length: 6 months initially with the view to extend
Shift Patterns: 39 hours per week, various shift timings (days and nights). Full flexibility is imperative. Start ASAP, pending the successful result of a medical which does include a Drug and Alcohol test.
Responsibilities:
- Adhering to the works procedures and involvement in various safety improvement activities
- Operating equipment within the work area to defined procedures to achieve agreed objectives
- Participating in audits/checks, ensuring compliance with work procedures and set quality standards
- Involvement with line/warehouse operations, which can involve operation of cranes, Fork Lift Trucks and mobile plant and equipment
- Continuous improvement activity
- Liaising with functions including transport, warehouse, packing, PPC and others to ensure efficient material flow
- Having sufficient competence and flexibility to work on any of the Manufacturing Lines when required
- Potentially working from height and conducting manual handling (all training provided)
Essential Requirements:
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above
- Proven experience within a Manufacturing, Logistics or Warehousing environment
- Must be aged 18 or above due to Health and Safety regulations
- Proven tenure of strong attendance and timekeeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective team working skills with a flexible and adaptable approach to tasks
- IT literacy, especially with MS Office (Word and Excel in particular)
- Experience of warehouse operations and material handling (advantageous)
- Engineering skills and experience (advantageous)
- Counterbalance FLT licence (advantageous)
