We are recruiting for an Emissions Compliance Engineer to join a large, worldwide manufacturing business. The company currently operates in a critical global regulatory environment where compliance expectations from investors, boards and regulators have never been higher.
In this role, you will join the UK team responsible for interpreting and leading the enterprise to a strong position of global emissions regulatory compliance. You will specifically provide guidance and conformance services for medium engines and marine propulsion products.
Location: Peterborough
Pay Rate: Up to £32.30 per hour
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week), 7.5 hours Monday to Thursday and 7 hours on Friday. (start between 8am and 9am)
Key Responsibilities
- Global Compliance: Maintaining awareness of worldwide emissions regulations for diesel engines and ensuring robust execution of compliance processes across all territories.
- Complex Resolution: Resolving complex emissions regulatory issues across multiple products and locations.
- Process Management: Creating and improving robust, efficient process documentation and supporting compliance processes in alignment with US-based teams.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the India-based team on the governance and execution of compliance processes.
- Reporting: Preparing and submitting conformance reports to governmental agencies.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong moral compass and a passion for doing things right to a high standard.
Qualifications
- Education & Knowledge: An Engineering degree is desirable, along with strong knowledge of engines.
- Regulatory Experience: Some understanding of emissions legislative requirements is required.
- Technical Skills: The ability to digest technical and regulatory issues and distill them into clear guidance. Proficiency in IT software packages that drive process efficiency is highly desirable.
- Communication: You must be a confident and articulate communicator.
