Salary: £41,885 - £43,331 (£35,336 basic plus 20% shift allowance, rising to £36,109 plus 20% shift allowance on successful completion of probation period)
Shift Pattern: Day Rota (Day shift with weekend working)
Holidays: 30 days in first 12 months, rising to 34 days a year, plus an additional 6 days

What You'll Do
- Clean, strip down and inspect stands to identify any defective parts
- Depending on requirements, replace parts, change rolls and build up stands as per drawings and existing standards
- Where necessary, transport and collect stands and spares
- Provide fitting support for other teams and area within Tooling Department
- Maintain high standard of housekeeping in the area
- Suggest and implement improvements to processes
- Conduct all aspects of the job in a safe manner and adhere to statutory and mandatory safety regulations, procedures and policies
What you will need
- The jobholder must be a time-served indentured mechanical craftsman
- Must have experience of working within a safe system of work
- NVQ level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering
- Experienced in general mechanical fitting including fitting of bearings and gears with induction heaters and presses
- Capable of interpreting technical drawings and standards
- Able to complete manual tasks up to 25 kg in weight
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and ability to work with substances correctly
- Advantageous to have previous experience operating forklift up to 2 tonne (training provided)
- Advantageous to have previous experience operating overhead crane up to 10 tonne (training provided)
