Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? if yes please find below Position: Lead Worker – Youth Engagement Role Location: Bridgend County Borough Council Contract: temporary 18.5 hours (Part time) Salary: £12.98 to £15.58 per hour We\’re looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as an Lead Worker – a key role focused on supporting young people aged 16-24 who are at risk of disengaging from education, employment or training. What You\’ll Do: Provide one-to-one coaching and mentoring to help young people overcome barriers to engagement Deliver group sessions and targeted interventions tailored to individual and group needs Work closely with schools, colleges, families, and external services to create strong support networks Act as a trusted advocate to identify aspirations and guide young people in making informed decisions Track progress through assessments, maintain accurate records, and report outcomes Plan activities that re-engage, motivate, and support young people in their personal and professional growth Support smooth transitions between services and ensure continuity of care What You Bring: QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Youth Work, Education, or Social Care – or significant relevant experience Experience supporting young people who are at risk of disengagement Strong understanding of issues impacting youth education, training, and employment Excellent relationship-building skills and a non-judgmental, empowering approach Experience working with multi-agency teams including statutory and third sector partners A valid driving license and access to a vehicle Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required Why Join Us?
