The Opportunity
- Role: CDM HSER Project Support
- Location: Blunham (100% Onsite, Mon-Fri, 8:30-4:30)
- Duration: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract (with potential for extension)
- Pay: £55k - £60k (Pro-rata)
As the dedicated resource for the Project, you will work alongside the resident HSER Manager to focus purely on the construction and installation phase. You will ensure the site fulfills its Client duties under CDM regulations while maintaining a safe environment across all project stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and maintain Construction Phase Plans, Pre-Construction Information, and Health and Safety files.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and monitor contractor performance against stringent HSER standards.
- Lead the development and review of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and risk assessments specifically for new machine assets.
- Act as the primary HSER point of contact for the Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, and external regulatory bodies.
- Assist in accident and near-miss investigations, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented immediately.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- NEBOSH Construction & General Certificates
- A solid track record of supporting large-scale CDM projects, preferably involving machinery installations.
- Deep understanding of RAMS, CDM 2015 regulations, and broader HSER legislation.
- Ability to build relationships with site personnel while managing numerous onsite contractors.
- Professional membership or accreditation (e.g., IOSH/HSER national associations).
- Experience in designing and conducting HSSER audit programs.
