Do you have experience in operating Counterbalance? Do you have prior logistics or warehouse experience? Are you based in or around Caerphilly? We are looking for an FLT Operator to join the TATA Steel team at Catnic, Caerphilly. This role has arisen due to long-term sickness, and we are seeking reliable candidates who can contribute effectively to our logistics team.
Role: FLT Operator
Pay: Grade D - £12.21 per hour (£25,079.34 per annum), Overtime available at 1.5x on Saturdays, Double time on Sundays (optional)
Location: TATA Steel UK, Catnic, Caerphilly
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), Friday (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Hours: 39.5 per week
Duration: 3 months with a strong possibility of extension
Start: Asap (Once completing onboarding documentations)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating FLT Counterbalance and Side Loader (SLT) trucks
- Using barcode scanners to manage stock and dispatch
- Meeting daily team target of 660 picks
- Standard FLT and SLT loading duties
- Working safely within the yard environment
- Onsite training provided with opportunities for further development
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in FLT Counterbalance and Side Loader (SLT) operation
- Previous logistics or warehouse experience preferred
- In-date FLT licences are not required, as TATA provides the necessary training
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations
- A proactive and reliable team player
