Randox are continuing to grow our network of Randox Health clinics across the UK and Ireland. With an aggressive expansion plan for 2026, we require a highly motivated and reliable individual to work within our Facilities and Maintenance Department. We are recruiting for an experienced Joiner / Carpenter who has previous experience leading and coordinating a small team of joiners. This role will work as part of our maintenance and fitout teams.

The position will not have a specific Randox base location but will travel to existing Randox sites for maintenance jobs as well as travelling to new Randox locations across the UK and Ireland to work on the clinic fitouts. Initially the sites worked on will be around London.

Location: Initially in London but travel to sites across mainland GB and Ireland will be required.

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 8:40am – 5:20pm. Some flexibility may be required. 40 hours per week minimum. There is also an on-call requirement which is shared across the team. If sites are commutable, you will drive but jobs that are further afield will have accommodation provided. A company van will be provided for travel and transporting materials to the sites as required.

Contract type: Permanent, full-time.

The Site Lead role will require taking the leadership of construction build on small scale sites. Hands on experience in all types of first and second stage fitout.

The role:

  • To raise all material purchase requisitions and forward to Facilities Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that adequate stock records are maintained for all materials held.
  • To assist with sub-contractors visiting sites to perform necessary/preventative maintenance.
  • Being responsible for ensuring all work carried out is in accordance with current Building and Planning Policies applicable to the works.
  • Assist the Facilities Supervisor with planning aspects of building works for new extensions and alterations.
  • Liaise with Facilities Supervisor on a daily/weekly basis for updates.
  • To execute the work schedules for all relevant General Maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that site walk rounds are performed once a month externally to log any external maintenance required.
  • To liaise with Facilities Supervisor regarding audits and to ensure that all requests are completed.

The candidate:

Essential:

  • Willingness to take charge of small sites and report back to the Facilities Project Manager.
  • Experience of Team Lead for fit out / site works.
  • Qualified joiner with experience on site.
  • Previous experience in general building sites or fitout environment.
  • Experience in dry lining / ceilings, 1st and 2nd fix joinery.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy objects.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Competent in performing routine manual labour tasks.
  • Good timekeeping/time management skills.
  • Valid ESCS Card.
  • Valid UK drivers licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience running high street and shopping centres fit outs.
  • Strip out and fitout on sites.
  • Asbestos awareness course.
  • Experience with other non-joinery related site tasks would be beneficial.
  • LGV / HGV Licence.
