Environmental Manager – (Job Ref: 25N/ENVM)

Location: 55 Diamond Road, Crumlin, Co. Antrim, United Kingdom, BT29 4QY

Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent, Onsite working.

Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What does this role involve?

This role will be responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the environmental management system in accordance with the company’s vison and objectives.

This is a varied role that will require you to develop a varied skillset including:

  • Being the environmental “management representative”
  • Promoting awareness of Randox’s environmental vision and policies to staff
  • Ensuring that risks or potential risks are identified and controlled
  • Ensuring that agreed preventative actions are affectively implemented
  • Monitoring compliance to the environmental management system and to notify management of any non-compliances
  • Meeting the company’s carbon reduction/ net zero commitment
  • Work towards the certification of the environmental management system to ISO 14001
  • Ensuring environmental compliance with all licenses and submissions such as waste carriers license, producer responsibility and discharge consents
  • Keeping up to date with new legislation and to communicate and publicise any changes
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary environmental team
  • Coordinating environmental audits

Who can apply?

Essential criteria:

  • Experience in carbon reporting and sustainability strategies
  • Experience in producer responsibility and knowledge of extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulations
  • Qualified to at least bachelor’s degree level
  • Working knowledge of health and safety requirements

Desirable criteria:

  • Professional auditing qualification
  • Management/supervisory experience
  • Experience working with chemicals
  • Experience in ECO Vadis
  • Experience in archiving and record management
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Experience implementing IS0 14001
