We have an exciting new career opportunity for a Phlebotomist within our clinic in Derry/Londonderry. Location: Timber Quay Building - Unit 5100 -114 Strand Road, Derry, BT48 7NR. Contract Offered: Full-time, permanent Working Hours / Shifts: Alternating between a Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern. 7.40am - 4.20pm on Monday and Saturday, 6.40am - 3.20pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 10.20am - 7pm on some Wednesdays and Thursdays when required. These shifts are subject to change. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Access NI check. Right to Work Requirement Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. What does the Phlebotomist role involve? This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS). Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments. Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic. Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks. Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training. Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends. Valid UK or Irish driving licence. Desirable: Experience in a private healthcare setting. 2 years experience in Phlebotomy.
