Job summary: Randox Laboratories are recruiting for a Riding Groom to be based at our stables, outside Crumlin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the equine industry, with a genuine passion for horses, to join a dedicated team.
Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week minimum. This role will include some weekend work and bank holidays. Some flexibility may be required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Daily care of horses and foals within the stables
- Feeding and checking water troughs
- Mucking out the stables
- Cleaning tack
- Grooming horses
- Checking horses for illness or injury
- Help handle and train young horses and foals
The Candidate:
Essential:
- Previous experience working with horses
- Strong attention to detail (identifying injury or illness in horses)
- Ability to work on own or as part of a team
- Flexibility on hours as working on weekends and bank holidays may be required
- Clean driving licence
Desirable:
- HGV / Trailer licence
- Confident in handling horses in various situations
