Cable Manufacturing Operative – (Job Ref: 25N/CMOP)

Location: Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4FL

Contract Offered: Full-time, permanent.

Working Hours / Shifts: 7.00am-5.40pm, Monday to Thursday.

What does this role involve?

The main responsibility of the role is to manufacture, assemble and testing of analyzer machines, electro-mechanical modules, cables and electrical kits for engineering products and projects.

  • Printed circuit board assembly and manufacture of cable assemblies and electrical kits
  • Providing feedback on possible issues.
  • Use of software to verify correct manufacture and operation of PCBs and electrical kits
  • Identifying and implementing ways of improving the efficiency of the process.
  • Full training to IPC standards will be provided to successful applicants.
  • Follow manufacturing procedures and production assembly drawings
  • Assist in trouble shooting technical problems that arise in the manufacturing process
  • Measurement and inspection of incoming good.

Essential criteria:

  • Have a recognized qualification in either an electrical or electronics discipline
  • Have 2 years experience in either an electro-mechanical assembly or light engineering manufacture
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Basic understanding of standard software applications (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Have the right to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in PCB assemblies
  • Have a hands-on approach and practical engineering skills
  • Experience in the use of hand crimping tools
