Our staff are at the heart of everything we do and achieve. We have an exciting new career opportunity for a Phlebotomist within our clinic in Crumlin.
Location: Randox Health Crumlin, 5-15 Mill Road, Crumlin, County Antrim, BT29 4XL.
Contract Offered: Full-time, permanent
Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week, across 5 days. Start and finish times are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday and 12.40pm to 5.20pm on a Sunday. These shifts are subject to change.
For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Access NI check.
Right to Work Requirement
Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire.
What does the Phlebotomist role involve?
This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
- Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
- Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
- Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
- Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
- Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
- Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
- Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manage various software systems and daily tasks.
Essential criteria:
- Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
- Confident using IT programmes.
- Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
- Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
- Strong communication skills.
- Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
- Valid UK or Irish driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience in a private healthcare setting.
- Experience in customer service.
- 2 years experience in Phlebotomy.
- Sales / Retail experience.
