Our staff are at the heart of everything we do and achieve. We have an exciting new fixed‑term opportunity for a Phlebotomist within our clinic in St Pauls, London.
Location: 143 High Street, Kensington, London, W86SU.
Successful applicants will work within a dynamic rota model. Rotas will be provided in advance, but scheduled shifts may be across different clinic locations within the relevant cluster area, depending on customer demand and operational requirements. This role will cover the following Randox Health Clinics within Cluster1: St Pauls, Great Portland Street, Kensington, Kings Road, and White City.
Contract Offered: Full‑time, fixed‑term 12 month contract.
Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week, 5 shifts across 7 days. Mon/ Sat 07:40‑16:20, Tue‑Fri 06:40‑15:20 / 10:30‑19:00, Sundays 09:40‑17:20. Our clinics operate 7 days a week, so you’ll be expected to work your contracted hours across the week, Saturday to Friday. Rotas are provided in advance on a rolling basis, giving you visibility of your working pattern ahead of time, although they are subject to change depending on support needed for cover.
Vaccination Requirement: For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage.
SDS/Employer Conduct: In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Right to Work Requirement: This role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9‑month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire.
What does the Phlebotomist role involve?
- Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
- Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
- Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
- Represent the company professionally at off‑site events and appointments.
- Engage in upselling and cross‑selling at our private health clinic.
- Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
- Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
- Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manage various software systems and daily tasks.
Essential criteria:
- Previous phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
- Confident using IT programmes.
- Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
- Flexibility to work from off‑site locations at least once per month.
