Through our digital ordering and results platform, nationwide sample collection network, centralised laboratory services, and integrated courier network, we deliver a complete diagnostics service to many clients nationwide.

We have an exciting new career opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager (Pathology Services) based at our offices in Fitzrovia, London.

Location: Boston House, 36-38 Fitzroy Square, London, W1T 6EY.

Contract Offered: Full-time, permanent

Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week contract. Monday to Friday (half day on Friday).

Role Overview: Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit a Strategic Account Manager to join our client support and account management team. Based at the London office, the Account Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring a high-quality, personalised experience for all clients—including private hospitals, clinics, and digital healthcare companies. The role combines relationship management, commercial development, and product expertise. The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of clinical accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for operational and commercial queries.

Responsibilities:

  • Own a portfolio of pathology accounts and deliver volume/revenue targets
  • Build senior relationships across clinical, operations, procurement, IT and Finance
  • Create account plans, manage pipeline, and forecast accurately within the CRM
  • Lead onboarding and implementation for new accounts and services
  • Drive renewals, pricing discussions, and tender support
  • Identify growth opportunities (new panels, sites, pathways, partnerships)
  • Monitor service performance (SLA/TAT/issues) and run regular reviews
  • Coordinate internal teams to ensure delivery on accounts (Labs, logistics, clinics, clinical, IT)
  • Manage escalations end to end and communicate clearly with customers
  • Ensure governance/compliance (HDPR, data sharing, quality standards)

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong track record of building and maintaining relationships with senior business stakeholders in the healthcare/diagnostics industry
  • Showcase knowledge and experience in account management within the healthcare services sector
  • Experience within the diagnostics and/or clinical pathology market
  • Degree-level education, preferably in a science or business-related discipline
  • Background in healthcare, insurance, or corporate environments
  • Proven experience working to and exceeding targets
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and overcome market challenges
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Must be based in Central London (full-time, office-based role)
