Our staff are central to what we do, and we have an exciting new career opportunity for a Phlebotomist within our clinic in the John Lewis store in Cheltenham.
Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, across 5 days – 9am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
Right to Work and Compliance: For this position, you must have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. The organisation cannot offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire.
What the Phlebotomist role involves: This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
- Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
- Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
- Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
- Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
- Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
- Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
- Demonstrate high IT literacy to manage various software systems and daily tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
- 2 years experience in Phlebotomy.
- Experience in a private healthcare setting.
- Experience in customer service.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
- Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
