About Our Work: Medical animation serves at the core of our work and our scientific storytelling and drug visualization help form the foundation of a pharmaceutical marketing campaign. We have produced work for a variety of pharmaceutical companies, ranging from small pharma and biotech companies to huge global pharmaceutical giants. We have also worked extensively in consumer health, medical devices and diagnostics tests, animal health, in addition to collaborating with the film industry to develop various documentaries that can be seen in IMAX theatres globally.
About the Role: We are seeking a talented full‑time Project Editorial Executive to join the Project Management team to support the Project Editorial Manager with the project edits function. This role will involve applying video editing skills as well as delivering post‑production edits. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong initiative, and the ability to assimilate knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing and medical communications.
- A Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Media Production, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, equivalent practical experience demonstrated by a strong portfolio of relevant work.
- 1‑2 years of experience in a role requiring video editing and content modification (internships and freelance work included).
- Good knowledge of Adobe Suite (Premiere and After Effects) to modify existing animations.
- An interest in the pharma, biotech, or medical communications landscape.
- Eagerness to learn about project management principles and client communication.
- Familiarity with standard office software (MS Office, Google Suite).
Purpose of a Project Editorial Executive: At Random42, we offer a unique opportunity for a Project Editorial Executive to gain hands‑on experience at the heart of our world‑class project management team. You will be responsible for executing precise video and presentation edits, managing and preparing digital assets for review, and ensuring the technical accuracy of all editorial work. We will provide you with access to industry‑leading software and direct mentorship from our senior team, allowing you to become a specialist in a fast‑paced and innovative environment. The Project Editorial Executive is responsible for collaborating closely with Project Managers to ensure the timely completion of tasks and communicate the status of edits. The role acts as the technical backbone that supports the successful delivery of our most critical business objectives.
A Day in the Life: Keeping track of the project edit workflow and scope, flagging any deviations or technical issues to your line manager. Executing hands‑on 2D edits within a defined scope, including text updates, VO syncing, and minor graphical changes using Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Working on visual, audio, and video refinements for video editing projects. Assisting with quality control by proofreading documents and checking that client feedback has been correctly implemented by the team. Working collaboratively with the Science, Production, and Project Management teams to ensure the smooth delivery of edits.
Other Information: During the initial 3 month probation period, you will be expected to work from our Marylebone office 5 days a week. The office is easily accessible from a number of public transport stations including Bond Street and Marylebone. Upon successful completion of probation period, you will be eligible to work 2 days per week from home, which will vary each week according to our hybrid working rota. If you have commitments outside work which mean you would benefit from having two fixed days from home, such as childcare drop offs or collections, then you will be able to submit a request to make this change to your working location pattern.
