We are seeking a talented full-time Junior Project Manager to join our Project Management team.

The Junior Project Manager will have a key role within our project life-cycle, encompassing both internal project coordination and client‑facing project management responsibilities. The role will be to support the project management team in delivering a variety of project types, including animation, print, and interactive projects (such as VR, AR, MR) across a wide range of therapeutic areas. This role focuses on learning the fundamentals of project management and Random42's capabilities by working under the guidance of senior project managers to help deliver exceptional work and develop the skills to manage projects with increasing autonomy. A successful person in this role is proactive, organised, and an excellent communicator. Their day will be a blend of supporting the team, managing their own tasks, and actively learning.

A day in the life of the successful candidate will include:

  • Managing a variety of animation, multi‑deliverable & image projects, ensuring the process is smooth, efficient, and successfully meets all project milestones and the client's brief.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met and generating feasible timelines to do so.
  • Collaborating with internal Science and Production teams to deliver accurate and compelling content.
  • Liaising directly with clients to obtain briefs, deliver updates on project progress, manage feedback, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Supporting senior team members with project tasks, including quality control and proofreading.
  • Managing project administration, including organising files and updating internal systems.
  • Driving projects through Med‑Legal Review via platforms such as Veeva.
  • Keeping the project coordination team and their line manager informed of project progress and any potential challenges.
  • Problem solving roadblocks in projects for the team, with the support of their line manager.
  • Proactively identifying and flagging any changes to the project scope.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A BSc and/or MSc in a scientific discipline is required.
  • 0‑1 years of experience in a client‑facing, coordination, administrative, or related role. (Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.)
  • An interest in the pharma, biotech, or medical communications landscape.
  • Eagerness to learn about project management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with standard office software (MS Office, Google Suite).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and writing.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Clear communication, level‑headed and diplomatic approach.

Working Location:

During the initial 3‑month probation period, you will be expected to work from our Marylebone office 5 days a week. The office is easily accessible from a number of public transport stations including Bond Street and Marylebone. Upon successful completion of probation period, you will be eligible to work 2 days per week from home, which will vary each week according to our hybrid working rota which you can view in advance. If you have commitments outside work which mean you would benefit from having two fixed days from home, such as childcare drop offs or collections, then you will be able to submit a request to make this change to your working location pattern.

Working hours:

Our standard working hours are Monday - Friday 10:00 - 18:00 (35 hours per week plus one‑hour unpaid lunch break per day). Unless otherwise specified, these will be the contracted hours for the role.
