About The Role
We are seeking a talented full-time Account Executive (Lockwood Group Partnerships) to join the Sales and Marketing team to support with cross-sale initiatives, business development, and partnership account management.
This role will report to the Account Manager/Director within the team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong diplomatic and communication skills, and the ability to assimilate knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing, medical communications, and joint agency collaborations.
We work with the world's leading healthcare and pharmaceutical companies alongside our strategic partners, so a passion for science, a strong academic background, and the emotional intelligence to navigate multiple agency teams are preferred.
Purpose of an AE
At Random42, we provide countless opportunities for our AE's to gain insight into the commercial side of the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
This AE role will be dedicated to the cross sale function, supporting and growing digital and innovative initiatives in collaboration with the wider Lockwood Group.
Your primary responsibility will be managing incoming briefs, identifying organic growth opportunities and preparing highly competitive, tailored proposals.
We will provide you with the resources and training necessary to execute our joint sales strategy and manage key partner and client relationships across multiple accounts.
As an AE, you will hold a vital responsibility for ensuring our partnership pipeline is executed seamlessly to deliver on our shared business objectives.
Responsibilities Of An AE
Provide day-to-day support to the Lockwood Group Partnerships team as part of the broader Sales & Marketing team at Random42, specializing in managing and growing accounts and joint initiatives for the pharma & biotech industries.
- Lockwood Collaboration & Lead Management
- Actively manage and proactively respond to incoming briefs from Lockwood Group affiliates, driving joint medical communications and biotechnology opportunities.
- Coordinate day-to-day communication between Lockwood counterparts and internal execution teams (Science, Creative, and Project Management) to shape integrated solutions.
- Support and track day-to-day scopes across multiple shared accounts, maintaining a balanced view across the joint pipeline.
- Maintain clean, detailed records of joint accounts, active briefs, and key personnel mapping within CRM Salesforce to ensure complete partnership visibility.
- Sales & Proposal Process
- Collaborate with internal scientific, production, and project management teams to develop competitive, tailored proposals in response to partner briefs.
- Confidently present joint capabilities, past case studies, and integrated service offerings to drive account growth.
- Maintaining an understand of your teams impact which supports the wider sales and marketing team in reaching monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain Salesforce data on prospect and customer lists
- Keep contact lists and personnel maps updated to identify key stakeholders within partner accounts.
- Monitor changes in the biotech and med comms markets, taking the initiative to update team members on pipeline developments.
Essential Skills Or Qualifications
Previous experience is not required, as training will be provided on the job.
However, candidates must have a life sciences BSc and/or MSc preferred with an interest in science, as well as a strong desire to develop their career in business development, account handling and with a commercially driven mindset.

- Working Hours
Our standard working hours are Monday - Friday 10:00 - 18:00 (35 hours per week plus one-hour unpaid lunch break per day).
