Join our dynamic Sales & Marketing team and play a crucial role in driving growth within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and related life sciences markets. As an Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience across the entire sales and marketing lifecycle, contributing to lead generation, sales process optimisation, and client relationship management. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated university student with a passion for life sciences and a desire to launch a career in marketing and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day support to the Sales & Marketing team across pharma, biotech, and adjacent markets.
  • Lead Generation Process
  • Understand the market, our business (including products), and our customer proposition.
  • Execute search strategy using LinkedIn to identify new contacts/key stakeholders within the pharma, biotech, consumer health, device and diagnostic, and animal health industries.
  • Lead Generation
    • Conduct targeted research and utilise LinkedIn to identify and engage key stakeholders within pharma, biotech, consumer health, device & diagnostics, and animal health industries.
    • Develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and customer proposition to effectively qualify and generate leads.
  • Sales Support
    • Prepare comprehensive meeting briefs and accurately document and distribute meeting notes for capability calls.
    • Collaborate with account leads to create competitive proposals for new business opportunities.
    • Source relevant past work and therapeutic area insights to be sent to prospective and existing clients.
  • Client & Market Data Management
    • Maintain and update CRM (Salesforce) and Google Docs databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
    • Develop and manage prospect and customer lists, account mappings, and R&D pipelines.
    • Provide timely market and client updates to the team.
  • Marketing & Communications Support
    • Contribute to the creation of engaging content, including news articles and blog posts, aligned with our marketing strategies.

    Essential Skills or Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's (BSc) or Master's (MSc) degree in a life sciences‑related field.
    • Strong interest in developing a career in marketing and communications within the life sciences industry.
    • Willingness to learn, and be trained on the job.

    Desirable Skills or Qualifications

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems).
    • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
    • Proactive and results‑oriented with a drive to contribute to new business development.

    Working Hours

    Our standard working hours are Monday – Friday 10:00 – 18:00 (35 hours per week plus one‑hour unpaid lunch break per day). Unless otherwise specified, these will be the contracted hours for the role. This role requires being onsite full‑time at our Marylebone‑based office.
