We are seeking a professional and experienced Maintenance Manager/Handyman to work across multiple properties in Marylebone and Fitzrovia for a high-profile private client.
Schedule
The position is permanent, live-out, full-time: Monday to Friday from 8. 30 am till 5.30 pm with some support on weekends as needed.
Duties
- Perform general handyman duties, including minor repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
- Conduct regular inspections of lighting, AV/IT systems, electrical systems, breakers, mechanical equipment, and household infrastructure.
- Identify, report and assist in resolving faults and defects, liaising with contractors and vendors where required.
- Assist with painting, decorating, and seasonal maintenance projects.
- Exterior Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of roofs, windows, gates, drains, stone walls, pathways, railings, fencing, and other external areas.
- Sweep, wash and maintain terraces, entrances, outdoor furniture, and external fixtures to a high standard.
- Maintain the rubbish and recycling areas, including waste separation, bin cleaning, and breaking down cardboard and packaging.
- Assist with driveway, pathway, and general estate upkeep.
- Landscaping Support
- Support the gardening team as required, including leaf blowing, dead-heading, irrigation checks, watering plants, maintaining potted plants, and basic weeding.
- Monitor the condition of external planting and report any issues requiring specialist attention.
- Vehicle & Household Support
- Assist with vehicle cleaning, presentation, and basic maintenance checks.
- Provide driving support and run errands for the household as required.
- Assist the housekeeping team with moving furniture, heavy lifting, event set‑up, and other support duties when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised garage, storage, and staff areas.
- General Estate Support
- Assist with pool maintenance and routine equipment checks.
- Support the Maintenance Manager with vendor coordination, project work, and the day‑time upkeep of the estate.
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably required to support the smooth operation of the household and estate.

- Candidate Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Previous experience in a similar Houseman, Groundsman, Maintenance Assistant, Caretaker, Facilities Assistant, or private household support role preferred.
- Ability to provide verifiable employment references covering the last five years.
- Clear background check with no unspent convictions.
- Legally entitled to work in the UK.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Salary: Negotiable, approx. £50K gross annual Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
