Randle Siddeley Limited is a leading and award-winning landscape architecture, construction and maintenance company, built up over more than fifty years. RSL's Design Team specialises in designing landscapes and gardens for private residences and commercial developments all over the world. Our Construction Division often works closely with our Design Team or with other landscape industry established and admired designers to construct beautiful gardens and other spaces.
Due to our continued growth and expansion, an exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Project Manager to join our well-established Landscaping Team in delivering high quality soft and hard landscaping schemes. Ranging from domestic or commercial designs up to Β£3 million in value, either as RSL working as the main contractor, or as a subcontractor. Experience in both hard and soft landscaping is essential along with the construction knowledge required to deliver projects from conception through to final completion.
The Project Manager will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail and will be responsible for ensuring the works are carried out to the high and exacting standards of RSL, delivering completed gardens worthy of the company brand.
Responsibilities:- Liaising with Clients, Site Managers, Suppliers, Subcontractors, designers and internal teams to fully understand work requirements on each site, and efficiently deliver the works in an organised and cost-effective way.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and employers' requirements to identify risks and opportunities.
- Selection of correct methods to ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently within client constraints.
- Identifying alternative materials, methods and value engineering options.
- Planning of resources (labour, plant, equipment, supplies) to ensure works are completed to agreed timelines and within cost.
- Raising warnings for any issues with the client and providing working solutions.
- Ensuring and auditing compliance so that all jobs are safely delivered and meet the required quality and environmental standards as part of our ISO systems.
- The ability to multi-task working on several projects at any one time, and meeting multiple deadlines.
- Practical Construction experience is essential along with the ability to read and fully understand construction plans and detailed drawings.
- The candidate will be self-motivated, with excellent people skills and will enjoy working closely with a growing Construction team.
- To prepare, implement and manage health & safety and quality procedures e.g. CDM, RAMs etc for all projects ahead of installation.
- A strong health and safety background is essential.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts and risk.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Extremely self-motivated and committed to achieving excellent results.
- Strong attention to detail with a practical, delivery-focused mindset.
- Confident IT skills and knowledge of all Microsoft packages, with a good knowledge of Excel and the ability to prepare programmes.
- A full driving licence and SMSTS / CSCS or relevant qualifications.
- Full time, office and site based, Monday to Friday 08h00 - 17h00.
- Flexible and hybrid working patterns where appropriate.
