Professionally Qualified:
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (or equivalent)
- Masters in Landscape Architecture
- 5-10 years experience delivering complex projects, ideally in private/public practice
Technically Proficient in:
- AutoCAD, Keyscape, InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, Microsoft Office
- NBS Landscape & Create
- Bonus: Revit experience
- Strong knowledge of UK planning policy, Building Regulations, construction detailing, and technical coordination
What you'll lead, own & deliver:
- Project Delivery & Oversight
- Lead medium-to-large scale landscape projects from concept to completion
- Define, manage, and delegate the scope of services across the team
- Ensure compliance with QA standards, brief requirements, and budget
- Attend and contribute to design team meetings and key client presentations
- Monitor WIP, targets, invoicing, and forecast fees accurately
- Oversee contracts, specs, and drawing packages with precision
- Prepare planning applications and supervise external contributors
- Audit works on-site and provide expert technical guidance during installations
- Lead and support a small design team (3-4 members)
- Coach junior team members, set performance standards, and build capability
- Take ownership of resource forecasting and workload planning
- Participate in recruitment interviews and team development initiatives
- Sign off technical content and ensure coordination across consultants
- Review hard and soft landscaping specifications, including soil science, drainage, materials, and planting
- Guide selection and use of appropriate construction forms and contract administration
- Maintain compliance with Building Regulations and CDM requirements
- Provide time and cost estimates for all stages of design and delivery
- Prepare fee proposals and assist in bid development and delivery
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Confidently represent the business at meetings and in correspondence
- Ensure project profitability through careful monitoring and proactive communication
