PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of refining the product in the fine gold section and manage the metal balance for sweeps room and fine gold storage locations.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of refining the product in the fine gold section and manage the metal balance for sweeps room and fine gold storage locations.
Summary Of Key Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To
- Accountable for resource planning and execution of departmental performance including managing the metal balance
- Provide timeous and accurate cost recovery, material yields and waste reports.
- Ensure that the materials are safely collected and charged according to recipe charge distributed.
- Implement methods used in conducting various studies.
- Ensure that machines are working properly and safely.
- Plans appropriate employee training and development to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the department.
- Manage and apply the performance management process.
- Plan relevant employee training and development to ensure efficient running of the department.
- Assists in undertaking cost improvement studies to identify root cause of issues relating to reliability, waste and efficiencies.
- Comply with and ensure that all health and safety rules are met. Proactively address any safety concerns which may be harmful to employees.
- The incumbent is required to adhere to safety standards, work shifts and lift heavy material.
- Carries out technical or first-level management responsibilities within the department.
