Purpose of the Position
The purpose of this role is to ensure accurate capturing and allocation of incoming customer material in the Receiving Yard. The role will also be responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, consistent and representative sampling of customer material and ITM’s as well as driving continuous improvement.
Summary Of Key Responsibilities Included But Not Limited To
- Ensure accurate receiving, capturing, and allocation of material.
- Maintain accuracy and precision in weighing, sampling, and sample preparation processes.
- Implement and monitor sampling protocols aligned to business requirements.
- Conduct stock evaluation and metal balance control activities.
- Perform technical investigations and reporting.
- Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ, quality, and safety standards.
- Address non-conformances and support audit processes.
- Review and optimise sampling technologies and systems.
- Generate and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ensure timeous submission of operational reports.
- Perform SAP and physical reconciliations of material.
- Train, coach, and mentor sampling personnel.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers regularly.
- Coordinate with supervisors, teams, and external consultants.
