The purpose of this role is to repair, calibrate and maintain the balances and weighing modules within the Smelter, Service Yard and Refinery.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Ensure that balances and weighing modules are in working order to minimise downtime and faults in the Refinery and Smelter.
Regularly perform proactive maintenance and calibrations on balances and weighing modules to deter any failures in adherence with scheduling.
Generation of calibration certificates.
Analysis of calibration data – Elimination of information and data errors.
Implementation of and adherence to the ISO17025 requirements.
Installation and configuration of weighing modules.
Liaise with procurement to ensure that the correct equipment and spares are available at all times.
Source parts, spares and equipment for general maintenance and all projects while ensuring that there’s cost efficiency and accuracy of components. Add technical input where required.
Strictly adhere to all SHEQ legislation regarding safety and machine maintenance.
Produce safety cards as required.
Adhere to the mass metrology maintenance schedule.
