The purpose of this role is to analyse the samples from external and internal customers according to the set standard operation procedures for the specific task.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all samples are analysed to the specific standard operating procedure.
- Confirm all relative sample information is entered correctly and efficiently into computer systems (LIMS and SAP).
- Ensure that the correct preparation principles are applied before assaying and sampling standards and principles.
- Perform continuous control monitoring to ensure that processes are running smoothly.
- Issue certificates for the samples when they are of the specified standards.
- Always wear the correct PPE and ensure that SHEQ procedures are strictly followed and advise team members accordingly; SHEQ department and manager feedback.
- Always ensure full compliance with all SHEQ procedures with adherence to chemical management safety procedures, SHEQ audits and feedback.
- Assist other assayers with on-the-job training where required.
- Ensure metal returns done in an effective manner.
