Purpose of the Position
The purpose of this role is to analyse the samples from external and internal customers according to the set standard operation procedures for the specific task.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all samples are analysed to the specific standard operating procedure.
- Confirm all relative sample information is entered correctly and efficiently into computer systems (LIMS and SAP).
- Ensure that the correct preparation principles are applied before assaying and sampling Standards and principles.
- Perform continuous control monitoring to ensure that processes are running smoothly.
- Issue certificates for the samples when they are of the specified standards.
- Always wear the correct PPE and ensure that SHEQ procedures are strictly followed and advise team members accordingly.
- Always ensure full compliance with all SHEQ procedures with adherence to chemical management safety procedures.
- Assist other assayers with on-the-job training where required.
- Ensure metal returns are done in an effective manner.
