Due to continued success and expansion, we are excited to announce that we are looking for a passionate, committed and reliable Nursery Administrator, who is available to work on a part-time basis of 2 x days (16 hours) per week. We can be flexible with which 2 days these are, but please note this position is all year round, and not term time only.
Your role will be to help streamline the nursery administration processes, ensuring that the highest level of service is provided to the customer, whilst supporting the business to provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment in which the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological development of the children is taken into full account.
Roles/Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining family and account records on the nursery computer programme (Famly), for which training will be provided.
- Maintaining accurate staff employment records, including the collection of references.
- Collection of fees including the administration of Childcare vouchers, pursuing outstanding fees and resolving any account queries.
- Liaising with local authority regarding child funding.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential staff, children’s and parent’s records.
- Sending reports to Head Office as appropriate and approved by Nursery Manager.
- Liaising with Nursery Manager and Head Office with general employee administration.
- Preparing banking.
- Sending authorised invoices to Head Office for payment.
- Applying to Head Office for authorised refunds.
- Preparing payroll information weekly & monthly through our computer based Kronos system.
- Keeping petty cash records.
- Welcoming parents, children and visitors.
- Showing prospective parents around the nursery.
- Ordering from suppliers.
- Note taking, recording minutes of meetings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with exceptional administration and customer service skills. You will be a quick and efficient worker, and be fully conversant with MS Office packages and programmes, and have previously worked with various Software Packages. Experience with Xero, Famly and/or ADP systems would be an advantage.
