We are looking to appoint an Apprentice Communications Assistant on a two-year fixed term contract. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and develop essential skills in the field of PR and Communications while working towards a recognised qualification. This role will support the delivery of effective communication campaigns and activities across multiple channels, helping to promote key messages to a variety of audiences. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, and content production while ensuring the development of the skills aligned with best practices in public relations, research, and project delivery. Studies will be delivered online by the Cambridge Marketing College over a 14 month period. At the end of the apprenticeship you will have gained the Level 4 PR & Communications Assistant Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating engaging content for various platforms, including press releases, articles, social media posts, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Support the production of non-written content, such as videos, graphics, and infographics, to enhance audience engagement.
  • Manage content distribution across social media channels and other communication platforms.
  • Conduct desk research and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to support campaign planning, media engagement, and evaluation of our activities.
  • Assist with event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and gathering feedback.
  • Maintain and update databases and IT systems in line with performance and service requirements.
  • Work collaboratively across the team, supporting colleagues where required.

Requirements

  • GCSE English and Math 4 / C minimum (essential)
  • Relevant experience in the PR & Communications field (desirable)
  • Strong interest in the PR & Communications field
  • Excellent communications skills verbal and written
  • Collaborative approach, ability and willingness to support the team and adapt to requirements
  • Desire to learn and develop both through formal education and on the job

Salary

£24,000 - £27,000 depending on experience.
