Rancho BioSciences is looking for a driven and strategic Business Account Manager to join our expanding global team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving growth across existing and key accounts within the life sciences sector.
You will collaborate with a worldâclass team of data scientists, curators, modelers, computational biologists, and developers to deliver innovative solutions that make a real impact on human health. As a clientâfacing representative, you will embody Rancho's culture of integrity, excellence, and customerâfirst service.
This remote position can be based anywhere in North America, or offer the flexibility to work from home while supporting highâimpact pharmaceutical, academic, and institutional science programs.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
- Engage clients to understand key challenges and goals, and support the design of serviceâdelivered solutions powered by Rancho's deep domain expertise.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and longâterm partnerships.
- Represent Rancho with professionalism and deep industry knowledge.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align client needs with Rancho's capabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline progress within our CRM.
- Contribute to development and execution of plans for target accounts, delivering maximum impact and insights into opportunities for growth.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and client challenges.
- Travel regularly (up to 50%) with time onâsite with clients and at conferences & trade shows, driving the promotional efforts of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree (BSc) or other advanced degree in a scientific field OR related field with additional relevant experience.
- Minimum 3â5 years of successful sales experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience selling professional services and managing large deal volumes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (written and verbal).
- Selfâmotivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independently within a collaborative team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
