For Companies CNC Machinist
A permanent vacancy has arisen within our clients Production Engineering Section for a CNC Machinist , please note the main base for this position is Falkirk.
Rate of pay (Training rate)-£15.50ph
Rate of pay (After training) – £17ph, 39 hours pw with minimum 5hrs OT at 1.5X.
Duties
- Operate CNC machines, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Load, set up, and program jobs using CNC software and technical drawings
- Monitor machine performance and adjust for accuracy and tolerances
- Conduct quality checks and basic maintenance on equipment
- Collaborate with fabrication and welding teams to meet project timelines
Qualifications
- 2+ years of CNC operation experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret steel fabrication drawings and shop details
- Ability to maintain and fix machines
- Familiarity with beam line or plasma processing machinery
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
