As a Volunteer Recruiter, you will lead and coordinate the recruitment, interviews, onboarding, engagement and retention of the volunteer workforce. You will need to be enthusiastic, a good listener, comfortable making decisions independently, and able to commit to 3-4 hours a week.
This role is vital as volunteers are the organisation's backbone. This position enhances sustainability and the support students receive. Furthermore, it will help us expand our reach.

What will you be doing?
- Managing the full recruitment process for all potential volunteers, from advertising positions to onboarding.
- Conducting initial screenings and leading interviews as required, ensuring a positive experience for prospective volunteers.
- Providing a thorough induction and orientation for all new volunteers, keeping them engaged and informed throughout the process.
- Ensuring all volunteers complete the trauma-informed training before they start teaching.
- Verifying that all volunteers complete mandatory trauma-informed training before commencing any teaching or engagement activities.
- Supporting ongoing volunteer engagement and retention efforts.
- Liaising with external partners, community groups, and other organisations to support collaboration and volunteer recruitment.
- Assisting in outreach initiatives to promote the organisation's mission.
