A leading global asset manager is hiring a commercially-minded Senior Associate to support its DACH Sales Directors on the ground, selling across institutional and Tier 1 wholesale channels — pension funds, insurers, banks, private banks, fund selectors and discretionary platforms. This is a sales seat, not a support seat. You'll be measured on pipeline, activity and contribution to net new business, with a clear path to Sales Director and your own territory.
What you'll do:
- Generate and qualify new business across DACH, building pipeline alongside the Sales Directors
- Run your own client meetings and follow-ups — initially in partnership, increasingly independently
- Pitch the fund range with genuine fluency on strategy, positioning and performance
- Own a defined set of accounts and drive the cross-sell agenda
- Deliver the sales campaign engine: outreach, product launches, roadshows, conferences and events
- Track flows, mandates, gatekeeper decisions and competitor activity, turning it into actionable pipeline
- Own CRM discipline and regional sales MI
- Keep RFPs, DDQs and onboarding moving so deals don't stall
What you'll bring:
- 2-3 years+ in asset management distribution — sales, sales support, or a client-facing role with clear commercial exposure. Fund selection, investment consultancy and private bank sales backgrounds also considered
- Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken — non-negotiable, you will be selling in German
- Demonstrable commercial drive: meetings generated, mandates influenced, business won
- Credible knowledge of institutional and wholesale channels and European fund structures (UCITS; Spezialfonds / Master-KVG an advantage)
- Confidence in front of sophisticated professional buyers
- Willingness to travel and build a territory
- IMC / CFA / CAIA progression viewed positively
On offer: highly competitive base plus discretionary bonus, strong benefits, hybrid working from the London office, and real client exposure from day one. Applications treated in the strictest confidence — no details shared with our client without your consent.
