A leading UK professional services firm is hiring an HR Advisor to sit at the heart of its People team, owning employee relations across a defined client group and acting as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders. This is a role for someone who can hold the room advising on ER matters with the confidence and credibility to guide line managers through complex, sometimes sensitive situations, and resolve issues pragmatically before they escalate.
THE OPPORTUNITY
You'll be the first point of contact for ER and performance queries across your client group, partnering closely with senior HR leads, managers and partners. Beyond day-to-day advisory, you'll contribute to firm-wide projects and initiatives, and play a visible role in shaping how the People function operates.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the majority of ER casework across your client group, advising informally and formally on good and fair practice.
- Coach and guide line managers through performance and conduct matters with confidence and credibility.
- Partner with senior HR leads to support partners and leaders within your client population.
- Lead and contribute to group and firm-wide projects managing timelines, deliverables and content.
- Analyse and present people data MI reporting, engagement results, exit interviews, absence and leaver trends to drive better decisions.
- Mentor and support the wider People Operations team, sharing knowledge and improving processes.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Strong, hands-on employee relations experience ideally gained within professional services or a partnership environment.
- Solid, up-to-date Employment Law knowledge and the judgement to apply it.
- Excellent written and verbal communication able to advise and influence stakeholders at all levels with authority.
- The credibility and confidence to guide managers and challenge constructively where needed.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with people data and MI.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset.
