Associate Capital Projects Manager – Industrial & Logistics (Europe)
Location: London (with UK/EU travel)
About the Role
Our client, a private investment company specialising in commercial property value add and repositioning opportunities, investing equity and debt. They have 8 offices across Europe & APAC, with assets under management of approx. £4bn. The Associate Capital Projects Manager will support the delivery and oversight of refurbishment and improvement projects across the European industrial and logistics portfolio. The role combines hands‑on technical involvement with broader coordination responsibilities, supporting local teams and providing professional advice to inform asset business plans and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the delivery of capital works and refurbishment projects across multiple industrial assets, ensuring alignment with budget, programme, and technical standards.
- Provide building surveying insight on condition, compliance, and specification matters, contributing to business plans and investment appraisals.
- Monitor local project managers and consultants, ensuring consistency in scope, reporting, and risk management.
- Manage consultant and contractor appointments, prepare scopes of service, and oversee contract administration in line with governance procedures.
- Assist in tracking budgets, certifying payments, and supporting lender or investor reporting where required.
- Undertake regular site inspections to review progress, validate reports, and identify opportunities for value enhancement or cost mitigation.
- Support delivery teams across the UK and continental Europe, adapting to different legal, planning, and construction frameworks.
Candidate Requirements
- 3–6 years’ experience in building surveying, project management, or development within the industrial or logistics sector.
- Solid understanding of refurbishment, technical due diligence, and contractor/consultant management.
- Confident producing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, and cost information.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage several projects concurrently.
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying, Project Management, or a related discipline; MRICS or progression towards preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, capable of clear reporting.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and Europe.
