An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time experienced Claimant Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury claim handler to join our well regarded Legal 500 recognised team based in Leeds, to handle a mixed case load of claim type, complexity, and value.

The ideal candidate will have claim handling experience gained in a similar role, who is looking for a long term career with a highly motivated and well established team. The position is predominantly office based, however once settled into the role there is the opportunity for a degree of hybrid working.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills in light of regular contact with clients and fellow professionals.

Requirements:
  • You will be a Solicitor with 5-10 years PQE, with experience in dealing with Claimant clinical negligence and personal injury claims up to, and including, the multi-track.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a track record of working towards and achieving billing targets.
  • You will be able to manage your own mixed caseload of clinical negligence and personal injury cases from inception to trial, with minimal supervision.
  • You will be expected to assist in supervising more junior members of staff, delegating appropriate work to supporting paralegals and assist more senior team members on large, high value, complex personal injury and clinical negligence matters.
  • You will be expected to get involved in the Department’s business development and marketing activities, especially focusing on the Leeds and York areas.
