We are currently recruiting for a full time Junior Conveyancing Assistant to work with our busy Conveyancing team based at our Huddersfield town centre office. This is an ideal entry level position, the successful candidates must demonstrate a positive “can do” attitude, together with a desire to learn and the ability to get the job done. You will understand the importance of putting the clients and quality of service first. You will be a team player able to work under supervision, possess excellent IT skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C including Maths and English.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Preparing correspondence and documents through audio-typing
  • Administration of client files, which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of files in accordance with the detailed procedures
  • Keeping filing up to date and ensure that files are tidy and Lexcel compliant
  • Preparing mail and enclosures for despatch
  • Dealing with general telephone enquiries
  • Keeping dictation up-to-date within agreed timescales and advise when outside of timescale
  • Ensuring that all client work is progressed expeditiously
  • At all times exercising high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all of the firm’s and client documentation and information
  • General assistance and support in the department

The successful candidate will enjoy a busy hands-on support role. You will be a conscientious, proactive and a thorough team player who takes pride in delivering quality work. Salary will be competitive and dependent on experience, and the firm offers a benefits package, as well as realistic opportunities for development and progression.
