Join our Theatre team at Fitzwilliam Hospital and Boston West Hospital and you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative care while developing your skills in a supportive and progressive environment.
Working alongside Registered Practitioners and Consultants, you will support the smooth running of theatres by undertaking delegated perioperative duties within an agreed competency framework across Scrub, Anaesthetics and Recovery.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced theatre support worker or Assistant Practitioner looking to further develop their career within perioperative services.
What you'll do
- Support the delivery of safe, effective patient care throughout the perioperative pathway.
- Assist with theatre preparation, patient positioning, equipment checks and theatre turnaround activities.
- Work alongside the theatre team within Scrub, Anaesthetic and Recovery areas according to competence.
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention, patient safety and clinical governance.
- Support patient flow and theatre productivity.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and work within the scope of the ATP role and competency framework.
- Contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team environment.
