An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Medical secretarial department here at Rowley Hall Hospital for a bank Medical Secretary. We are a busy and friendly team looking for an experienced secretary with sound computer, audio typing and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working in a team based secretarial service providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service.
- Act as the first point of contact on behalf of the consultants and deal effectively with all queries from GPs, patients and other departments.
- Manage clinical dictations on a digital system as required.
- Prioritise your own workload to meet the demands of the service.
You will benefit from a varied surgical caseload which will broaden your skills and experience as well as support and training opportunities.
The successful candidate will also have the following:
- Previous secretarial/administration experience
- Previous audio typing experience – must be able to type 20 letters per day
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Previous medical secretarial experience and knowledge of medical terminology
