Location: Oaks Hospital, Colchester
Hours: per week, Full-Time

Oaks Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare providers in the country. We are committed to delivering outstanding patient care in a safe, supportive environment.
Located conveniently on the outskirts of Colchester, the hospital opened on this site in 1994, with plenty of free parking for patients.
The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Manager to manage the Maintenance team at Oaks Hospital, and to ensure the smooth running of the site and coordinate with contractors for both planned and reactive works. In this role you will support the other Heads of Departments with routine maintenance and refurbishment of the site ensuring we maintain a high IPC standard.
There will be a requirement to be on call on a rotational basis for Oaks Hospital and Springfield Hospital.
What you will bring with you:
Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline
Experience in line managing in a Maintenance Environment post apprenticeship or qualifications gained
Experience in managing and co-ordinating Contractors and Service Engineers
City& Guilds Part 1/2, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Understanding of Legionella prevention requirements within Hospital buildings
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and applicable law
Fire safety or Fire Risk Assessment training (desirable)
