The Role:
We have an opportunity for a Housekeeper to join our team in the Housekeeping department, supporting the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness in our hospital. We recognize that a clean hospital is essential for ensuring high-quality patient safety and care across all services. As a Housekeeper, you will work as part of a team to ensure all cleanliness standards are met according to Ramsay Policies and Procedures, maintaining hotel service standards. This is a bank role, working on an \”as and when required\” basis, where you will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover during staff leave or absence.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Competence in literacy and numeracy
- Prior experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
- Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping
Duties of this role include:
- Undertaking daily cleaning of patient, public, and staff areas
- Carrying out cleaning duties according to schedules and policies
- Maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Flexibility to work in all departments, including Theatre areas
- Understanding cleaning requirements for different areas, surfaces, and coverings
