Job Description
Radiography Health Care Assistant
Location: Springfield Hospital, Chelmsford
Hours: 37.5 per week
Mixture of long and short days; some weekend work will be required. Springfield Hospital is seeking a dedicated and caring Radiography Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our Imaging Department. This role involves supporting Consultants and Radiographers across all imaging modalities, ensuring smooth workflow and exceptional patient care. You will play a vital role in maintaining patient comfort, assisting with procedures, and providing administrative support where required.
Responsibilities
- Assist Radiographers and Consultants during imaging procedures across MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound and other modalities.
- Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring dignity and comfort throughout the process.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate records and support administrative tasks using RIS and Maxims systems.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold high standards of patient care.
Key Attributes & Skills
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- IT proficiency; experience with RIS and Maxims systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A caring, professional, and adaptable approach to work.
