Bank Receptionist / Health care Assistant – Boston West Hospital – Bank Hours
The role
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our team on a Bank contract. You will work with delivering exceptional standards of administration and customer service whilst being the front face of the hospital. This is an extremely busy role liaising with patients, Consultants and all hospital departments. We need an individual with a professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative, the ability to work within a team and adaptable. You must be computer literate – experience with Word and Outlook being essential. We are looking for the successful candidate to preferably have hospital Health care assistant experience and an understanding of the role however this is not essential.
Where you’ll be based
Boston West Hospital is a purpose built day case Hospital which provides services for assessment, diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions. A well-equipped modern theatre undertakes a range of surgical procedures and endoscopic (diagnostic) investigations.
What you will bring with you
- Experience in a front facing or customer service role
- Maths/English to GCSE level or equivalent
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred but not essential.
- Proven organisational and communication skills at all levels, both written and oral.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including databases
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and consultants on a day to day basis applying appropriate methods and interpersonal skills
- Positive, willing attitude
- Self-motivated and possess strong organisational, interpersonal and above all customer service skills.

A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we have available in our hospitals. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance. Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure additional income alongside other contracted work. Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages, ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted.
