The role is for a highly motivated physiotherapist with proven skills in the management of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and orthopaedic inpatients. The post is 37.5 hours per week, with flexible hours ideally covering one later shift. The role will consist of at least 3 days of outpatient caseload and inpatient hours as the service requires.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Physiotherapy Team to provide high standard, efficient, individualised, evidence-based patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues; adhere to Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best clinical outcomes.
  • Support the Ramsay Way and People Caring for People.
  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy care in a hospital setting, including assessment, treatment, planning and development of treatment programmes, and progression of treatment using clinical knowledge and justification.
  • Manage your own outpatient caseload (where applicable), including time management, input sessional charges via computer, booking patient appointments and using your own computer diary.
  • Rehabilitate orthopaedic inpatients post-surgery to ensure readiness for discharge.
  • Be part of a weekend rota system as service demands.
  • Maintain health and safety and infection control procedures for patients, colleagues and the environment at all times.
  • Commit to CPD, mandatory training and e-learning, evidence-based practice and personal development.
  • Maintain a good standard of IT literacy and willingness to learn new information technology as required.
  • Work effectively and independently as part of the Physiotherapy team and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development.

Essential Qualifications

  • BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • HCPC and CSP registered
  • Experience of working as an outpatient and inpatient orthopaedic Physiotherapist
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Sound understanding of CSP standards of practice and HCPC standards and how they relate to individual practice
