The Mission
As a well reputed IT Managed Services Provider, we have a credible track record of delivering excellent outsourced IT and Cyber Security Services. Right now, we are operating in a new industrial revolution, with AI creating the potential for a new era of growth for businesses. Our focus is the everyday economy - midmarket organisations such as accountants, lawyers, financial services firms and agencies - the “do-it-for-me” economy of specialists who excel in their craft and choose to partner for their technology needs. We exist to help these organisations succeed in this moment, and to ensure their people are empowered to do their best work.
At our core, we are a people business. Our success is built on relationships, trust and the quality of our team. Clients choose us not just for technical expertise, but because of our credible, friendly and professional approach. Over the past 30 years, we have established a strong reputation and a distinctive culture that we are proud of. As we pursue our strategic growth ambitions, we are focused on maximising both our brand strength and our professional capabilities.
Our mission is to be a best-in-class technology services provider in the UK, supercharging a million workers by becoming a trusted partner and, ultimately, an extension of our clients’ own capabilities - their IT, Cybersecurity and AI departments. We are building a modern technology services business that combines over 30 years of trust, context and expertise with the practical deployment of emerging technologies, including AI, across our customer base.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced sales leader, to define and implement a new go to market strategy. You will lead an established Business Development team, initially operating as a player-coach - supporting, mentoring and developing the team while remaining actively engaged in winning new business. As the function grows and proves its impact, your focus will naturally transition toward full strategic leadership.
You will not be starting from scratch. We have an established reputation and strong relationships, with prospective clients who already know and trust us. Your role is to build and scale a modern commercial approach on top of this foundation, converting opportunity into consistent, repeatable growth.
Success in this role will come from your ability to deeply understand our clients’ businesses, how they operate, where technology and AI can create competitive advantage, and how to translate this into tangible, high-value solutions. You will focus on delivering meaningful outcomes quickly, then refining and scaling successful approaches across a broader client base. This requires a mindset of adaptability and ownership: shaping solutions around client needs, addressing root causes, and taking accountability for results.
You will bring a strong customer-first perspective, respecting the legacy and achievements of the organisations we serve, while positioning us as a forward-thinking partner that helps them evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and develop the Business Development team, fostering a culture where individuals feel they can be creative and find the right customers for our platform.
- Act as both a coach and contributor within the sales function, directly engaging in key opportunities and setting the standard for performance.
- Develop and execute a clear, strategic plan to drive new business revenue and achieve agreed growth targets.
- Take overall accountability for the delivery of new business performance and pipeline health.
- Build and implement scalable, repeatable sales approaches that can be applied across our target markets.
- Strengthen and expand our network of referral partners to generate high-quality opportunities.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and identify where Managed Services, Cybersecurity and AI can deliver measurable business value.
- Be a full member of the Leadership Team to align commercial strategy with broader business objectives and playbooks.
What You Will Build
- A new revenue line. You close the first customers, define what a good customer looks like from evidence rather than theory, and build the motion that makes it repeatable.
- The pipeline and the tooling that feeds it. We build our own sales infrastructure using AI. You will work with our AI Guild to build and iterate the tools that make the function faster.
- The partnerships. You think through where channel and technology partnerships fit, what they unlock commercially, and when to pursue them.
- The function. You coach and develop the people you lead. You set the standard for how this team sells.
- The market intelligence. The best candidates won't just build a sales pipeline. They'll become the organisation's eyes and ears in the market, using customer insight to help shape our marketing, AI services and go-to-market strategy.
What We Are Looking For
We want to be known as the most ‘can do’ well-polished and caring technology partner in the UK. To do that, we only want to work with the best. Our staff are proud to say ‘I am ramsac’ – their personal values are all a reflection of the core ramsac beliefs, which is all about going the extra mile and being genuinely concerned about providing clients with the very best, most attentive and highest quality service. Are you ramsac enough to be part of this very special team?
Have you already built your own AI tools, automated parts of your own workflow, built things that save your own time, and you approach a sales problem the way an engineer approaches a system: find the bottleneck, redesign it, measure the output? That is not a nice-to-have for this role. It is the thing that separates someone who sells Technology & AI services from someone who embodies them. The customers you will be walking into will know the difference.
You have created budget where no line item existed. The buyers you have sold to did not have an allocated budget for what you were offering until you showed them why they needed one. That is the skill this moment demands. AI is about to become one of the largest budget categories in enterprise history. The people who win it will be the ones who know how to unlock budget before the market is established, not just close against budgets that are already there. Your best deals came from conviction and craft, not from inbound. You know how to build a category before it has a name.
You are comfortable at the beginning. The absence of a finished playbook, an established motion and a known pipeline does not make you anxious. It makes you useful.
You will need
- B2B sales experience with a personally carried quota.
- A track record selling into midmarket or SMB customers.
- Experience in leading a team with an ability to motivate your team, and put your people’s wellbeing and development first.
- An ability to creatively problem solve, offering solutions and ideas to help yours, and other teams in the business.
- The drive and tenacity to implement new ideas and to continually strive for improvements to the status quo.
- A genuine interest in developing and coaching people.
- The ability to know where to focus your efforts and self-manage, whilst being mindful of the needs of the team around you.
We will be even more excited if you have:
- IT services or managed services background: you understand the trust-based sales cycle of a services business.
- AI builder credentials: you have already automated parts of your own workflow and built things with these tools.
- Experience in high-growth environments where speed and ownership matter.
Why You
We chose you not just for the right instincts and aptitude, but the right mindset: grit, persistence, determination, teamwork and agency. Together, we will grow the GDP of the economy we serve, one customer at a time.
