About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualised spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorising payments, flagging risk, categorising spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
As the Founding Go-to-Market Associate in Europe, you will work closely with Ramp's regional GM to replicate the success the company has had in the US. This is one of the first roles on the ground in London. You'll be building from scratch — with real accountability from day one. In this high-impact, generalist role, you'll work across the most pressing GTM, strategy, and operational challenges we face as we establish Ramp as a financial operations platform designed to save companies time and money in Europe. Your goal is to help us hit revenue targets, generate customer love, and build the most trustworthy, fastest-moving fintech brand in Europe. Speed, resourcefulness, and ownership are critical, but so is strategic thinking. London is becoming Ramp's European home. We want someone who will establish the culture, own outcomes, and make this the most exciting place in fintech to work. If you're eager to build something from zero, embrace ambiguity, and are excited about defining Ramp's presence in a brand new territory, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Build targeted account lists and outbound sequences to get in front of the right finance leaders and CFOs across Europe; convert those conversations into SQLs and customers.
- Own inbound leads end-to-end; qualify fast, run sharp discovery, and multi-thread into accounts to identify every decision-maker that matters.
- Attend and help organise industry events to build Ramp's brand and the relationships that make people in European fintech think of Ramp first.
- Partner with Design & Engineering to ensure market feedback lands in the right place; maintain tight feedback loops, smart prioritisation, and high-velocity delivery.
- Drive strategic research: competitive landscape, new segments, product-market fit signals, ICP refinement, and more.
- Work closely with the GM on the highest-priority initiative of the moment.
What You Need
- Right to work in the UK is required; willingness to travel frequently across the UK and Europe.
- Ownership mentality: you own outcomes, not deliverables; when something is broken, you fix it without being asked.
- Track record of building, selling, or figuring something out on your own: cold-calling strangers to test an idea, coding a product and getting people to pay for it, running a business out of your dorm, or anything that shows real initiative.
- Ability to make fast decisions with incomplete data and operate effectively in undefined, ambiguous environments.
- AI fluency as a daily habit. Ramp is a builder culture: if you don't instinctively reach for AI before doing things manually, this role will be a hard adjustment.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- High frustration tolerance and resilience; building from scratch means things will break constantly.
Nice to Haves
- Fluency in additional European languages.
- Experience in a high-growth startup, consulting, VC, IB/PE, or other analytically intensive environments.
- Exposure to fintech, SaaS, or B2B sales cycles.
- Track record of entrepreneurial activity: founding a company, running a meaningful side project, or building something from zero.
