About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualised spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorising payments, flagging risk, categorising spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the Role
As the first BDR Manager in our London office, you will lead the onsite team building Ramp’s presence across the European market. In this high-velocity front-line manager role, you will develop and coach a team of Business Development Representatives, and work closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, and the executive team to define and scale Ramp’s BDR motion across the UK and Europe. This is a player-coach role: you will lead from the front, contribute directly to key prospecting initiatives, and help recruit and develop the team. If you are excited by building high-performing teams, embracing challenges, and playing a defining role in Ramp’s European growth, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
- Lead from the front as a hands-on player-coach, modelling best-in-class prospecting and qualification.
- Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing BDR team focused on building qualified European pipeline.
- Build and evolve Ramp’s European BDR playbook, from ICP and competitive positioning to qualification and handoff standards.
- Create and refine collateral, including messaging, sequences, call scripts, discovery frameworks, and objection handling.
- Set clear activity, conversion, and pipeline goals; use data and coaching to improve team performance.
- Partner with AEs and cross-functional counterparts to sharpen targeting, messaging, and pipeline conversion.
- Experiment with new campaigns and outreach approaches.
- Help define Ramp’s go-to-market motion and build the BDR organization.
What You Need
- AI fluency as a daily habit. Ramp is a builder culture: if you don't instinctively reach for AI before doing things manually, this role will be a hard adjustment.
- 1+ Minimum of year of quota-carrying sales experience as an IC.
- History of consistent quota over-attainment.
- Evidence of helping individuals and/or peers improve performance and progress in their careers.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Self-starter with a high sense of urgency.
- Strong ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work 5x a week in office, in London, United Kingdom.

- Fluency in additional European languages.
- Experience leading BDR teams with a proven track record of exceeding goal.
