The company’s proven technology is already deployed in space and used in communications and observation satellites in more than 50 space missions across the solar system (e.g., the European Space Agency’s Solar Orbiter, the Japanese Hayabusa2 asteroid sample-return mission, and in 2021 on the JUICE – Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer) – with zero failures. We are seeking a multi-skilled PMO expert to support the Senior Program Manager in a dynamic and fast-growing business. The ideal candidate will possess advanced scheduling capabilities, proven experience in PMO development, and a deep understanding of project management processes. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple tasks, optimising program execution, and implementing PMO best practices in a fast-paced environment. What you will be doing o Develop and maintain a comprehensive Project Management Office (PMO) framework. o Establish, monitor, and continuously improve PMO processes, tools, and methodologies. o Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency in project execution and alignment with strategic goals. o Assist in planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of multiple projects/programs. o Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones. o Provide support in risk identification, management, and mitigation strategies. o Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks. o Act as the SME to lead the development of and maintain complex project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives by developing sound schedule logic. o Track project progress, identify dependencies, and anticipate potential delays. o Use project management software (such as MS Project) to manage timelines, resources, and costs. o Communicate schedule updates to stakeholders regularly and escalate critical path issues. o Prepare and present regular reports on project status, risks, and performance metrics. o Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Critical Requirements o Proven experience in developing and leading a PMO in a startup or fast-paced environment. o Strong understanding of PMO frameworks and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid). o Expertise in developing and maintaining complex project schedules using project management tools (such as MS Project). o Ability to handle multiple projects with interdependencies and deliver within tight timelines. o Minimum 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on supporting complex programs. o Strong experience in managing project risks, budgets, and resource allocations. o Advanced user of project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence). o Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Ability to present complex project details to senior leadership in a clear, concise manner. o Strong analytical skills with the ability to anticipate project challenges and propose effective solutions. o Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) would be an advantage. o Experience in leading organisational change initiatives and improving PMO maturity. o Proficient in data analysis and using KPIs to drive continuous improvement and project success.
